Day of The Tentacle

Maniac Mansion: Day of the Tentacle is a graphical adventure game,
originally released in 1993, and published by LucasArts. It is the
eighth game to use the SCUMM engine. It was released simultaneously on
floppy disk and CD-ROM. Day of the Tentacle was designed by Dave
Grossman and Tim Schafer.

Sam And Max Hit The Road

Sam & Max Hit the Road is a graphic adventure computer game
released by LucasArts during the company's adventure games era. The
game was originally released for DOS in 1993 and for Mac OS in 1995. A
2002 re-release included compatibility with Windows. The game is based
on the comic characters of Sam and Max, the "Freelance Police", an
anthropomorphic dog and "hyperkinetic rabbity thing". The characters,
created by Steve Purcell, originally debuted in a 1987 comic book
series. Based on the 1989 Sam & Max comic On the Road, the duo take
the case of a missing bigfoot from a nearby carnival, traveling to many
Americana tourist sites to solve the mystery.

The Secret Of Monkey Island

The game begins when Guybrush Threepwood, a youth who wants to be a
pirate, is washed up on the Caribbean island of Mêlée. He seeks out the
Pirate Leaders, who set him three challenges to prove himself a pirate:
defeat Carla the island's swordmaster in insult swordfighting, steal a
statue from the Governor's mansion, and find buried treasure.

Along the way he meets several interesting characters, including
Stan the used boat salesman, Meathook (a fellow with hooks on both
hands), a prisoner named Otis, the three men of low moral fiber and,
most significantly, the gorgeous Governor Elaine Marley. The ghost
pirate LeChuck, however, has been in love with Elaine since his living
days. While Guybrush is busy, LeChuck's ghost crew abduct her, taking
her to Monkey Island. Guybrush gathers a crew (Carla, Meathook, and
Otis), buys a boat, and sets out to find the mysterious island and free
Elaine.

Monkey Island 2 - LeChuck's Revenge

LeChuck's Revenge is set in the fictional Tri-Island Area of the
Caribbean, several months after The Secret of Monkey Island.[3] The
game opens in medias res as Guybrush Threepwood hangs on a rope above a
hole, narrating to Elaine Marley on a separate rope the events that led
to this situation.[3] The flashback sequence starts on Scabb Island and
constitutes most of the playable game's setting. During it, Guybrush
also visits Phatt Island, Booty Island, and Dinky Island, voyaging on
two different pirate ships.

The game was also the first and only in the original series under
the direction of LucasArts that never actually took place on Monkey
Island. Although, it is revealed in the following Curse of Monkey
Island that the Carnival of the Damned seen in the game's conclusion
was actually part of Monkey Island.

Players view Ben, the protagonist, in third-person. Using the
mouse, players click the left button to move him and hold it over
certain objects to view their interactive options; a graphic menu
rendered as a flaming skull displays a fist ("use", "grab" or "hit"),
eyes ("examine"), tongue ("speak" or "taste") and boot ("kick"). After
the menu appears, the player then selects one of these icons for the
desired interaction. The inventory of collected tools or weapons is
invoked by right-clicking anywhere on the screen. It also contains
portions where the player is required to drive, combating enemy bikers
with punches and kicks, and later chains, planks, and other crude
weapons.

Grim Fandango

Grim Fandango is an adventure game, in which the player controls
Manuel "Manny" Calavera ('calavera' being Spanish for 'skull') as he
follows Mercedes "Meche" Colomar in the Underworld. The game uses the
GrimE engine, rendering backgrounds in 2D, while the main objects and
characters are represented in 3D. The player controls Manny's movements
and actions with a keyboard, a joystick or a gamepad. Manny must
collect objects that can be used with either other collectible objects,
parts of the scenery or with other people in the Land of the Dead in
order to solve puzzles and progress in the game. Unlike the earlier 2D
LucasArts games, the player is informed of objects or persons of
interest not by text floating on the screen when the player passes a
cursor over them, but instead by the fact that Manny will turn his head
towards that object or person as he walks by.

Manny can engage with other characters through conversation trees
to gain hints of what needs to be done to solve the puzzles or to
progress the plot. Like most other LucasArts adventure games, the
player cannot ever get in a "dead-end" situation that would prevent
progress forward due to the death of the character or other limitation.
